Die einzige Live Performance dieses Liedes fand bei unserem Comeback Konzert im Dezember 2004 statt. Es ist das Lied, in dem ich nach Gregors Ausstieg über die Vergangenheit und die mögliche Zukunft von Blended nachdachte. Wir waren nämlich damals kurze Zeit unschlüssig, ob es überhaupt Sinn machen würde, weiter zu musizieren. Wie wir aber alle wissen und wie es auch im Lied am Schluss rüberkommt, entschlossen wir uns, weiter zu machen und nachdem wir unser neues Album als einen Schritt in die Zukunft und nicht in die Vergangenheit sehen, ist das Lied nicht auf der CD. Für mich ist If There Was Nothing einfach ein Stück Blended Geschichte und nebenbei noch ein verdammt gutes Lied.
