HeadTried to be a rich man but my luck just turned away I did my work from nine to five, I did it every day And every month when I got my bills I wondered what it was all for cause the world around was getting rich and I'll always stay poor In my head - I see faces, they don't care In my head - I hear voices everywhere In my head - the world's like a painting on the wall Same old picture every day I've got to get away Tried to be a famous man, someone everybody knows Singer, actor, millionaire, just one of those I liked the thought of driving home in big black limousines cause we all are famous if we want but only in our dreams In my head - I see faces, they don't care In my head - I hear voices everywhere In my head - the world's like a painting on the wall Same old picture every day I've got to get away Wanted, wanted to break free Wanted to leave Tried to be a holy man, an angel good and bright Thought I could help the desperate ones to get through the darkest nights It didn't take a long time 'till I found out where I was at cause I gave everything that I had to the world but I never got anything back In my head - I see faces, they don't care In my head - I hear voices everywhere In my head - the world's like a painting on the wall Same old picture every day I've got to get away |
This is just a country song... Oder doch nicht? Ich bin mir nicht
sicher, ob Johnny Cash-Fans mit Head viel anfangen würden. Aber das war
ja auch nicht unsere Absicht. Unverhofft kommt allerdings bekanntlich
