I'm Not Deaf ist ein Lied, das ich ursprünglich nur so nebenbei geschrieben hab, während ich an anderen Liedern gearbeitet habe. Nachdem wir es innerhalb der Band gespielt haben, hat sich gezeigt, das es mehr Potential hat, als ich anfangs gedacht hätte. Als es auch bei unserem Live Publikum immer beliebter wurde, hab ich dann schließlich den Text überarbeitet, um einige Stellen zu verbessern, die in der ersten Version nicht so gelungen waren.
Die Erfahrung, dass bei vielen kleineren und größeren Problemen im Leben, ein gutes Gespräch mit jemandem, dem man vertraut, helfen kann, ist das Thema dieses Lieds. Die nachdenklichen Strophen mit dem rockigen Refrain unterstreichen den Inhalt gut und machen aus I'm Not Deaf ein Blended Lied besonderer Anziehungskraft.
