"Let me sing you a song" - ja und was für Einen. Mit diesen Worten fängt wohl einer der schönsten Rockbaladen an, die ich jemals gehört habe. Schon als ich die ersten Demos, die wirklich einfach aufgenommen waren, hörte, wußte ich, dass ich dieses Lied um jeden Preis am Album haben möchte. Wer kennt das nicht, verliebt sein und jeden Augenblick gemeinsam verbringen zu wollen und einfach nur geniessen, da Einen nichts aus der Ruhe bringen kann - "like a rose in the bitter cold rain".
Das Lied an sich war anfangs nicht ganz leicht zu spielen, da wir erst ein Gefühl dafür entwickeln mussten. Aufnahmetechnisch gestaltete sich diese Nummer auch eher etwas schwieriger, aber wir haben es geschafft eine kompakte, wirklich ausgesprochen schöne Nummer zu produzieren.
Es gab einige Male die Kritik, dass wir zu wenig Liebeslieder bzw. keine Lieder fürs Herz haben. Nun, ich denke diesen Punkt können wir getrost abhacken, denn dieses Lied kann sich mühelos in die Reihe der schönsten Rockballaden einordenen lassen.
